Young lawyer and Human Rights activist Bilal Kagzi, along with his clients, were severelybeaten up in village Kosamba, Surat District of Gujarat. He was beaten up by police officialsof the Kosamba Police Station within the premises of the station. They were subsequently arrested for 5 hours and released around 3 PM. He fears of further attack on him. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, at around 10:30 am when Kagzi, along with two locals, Muhammed Rafeeq and Shahnawaz Khan, had gone to register a complaint about the destruction of public property by a local criminal, Mohd. Haneef Malik.

Documentary narrates stories of seven former terror accused set free by various law courts across India. Mukhtar Ahmed, Md. Fassiuddin Ahmed, Umar Farooque, Moutasim Billah, Harith Ansari, Md. Musarrat Hussain ‘Bobby’ and Shaik Abdul Kaleem are among thousands of Muslim youth arrested, falsely implicated and then acquitted in terror cases. The film narrates their ordeal and miseries and shed light on their current fight for survival.

February 27/28 mark ten years both of the tragic death of 57 persons due to fire in a compartment of the Sabarmati Express near Godhra station and the criminal manipulation of this tragic incident as a pretext for the Modi government sponsored anti-Muslim genocide throughout the state.
On February 27, thousands of victim-survivors of the mass crime, lawyers, jurists, activists, artistes and intellectuals from all over the country will assemble at Gulberg Society, Ahmedabad for a commemoration.

Peoples’ Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR) Secretary General / Executive Director Dr. Lenin Raghuvanshi received a threatening call from by mobile phone. He is pursuing the case of Sohrab killing in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The caller was also saying he is resident from the same district. He abused and given threat to life to Dr. Lenin.
